LDS Implementation So-called Small Projects

Small projects are projects contributing to improvement of the quality of life or diversification of economic activity in the areas of LAG’s activities, which are not eligible for support under Axis 3 measures – Quality of life in rural areas and diversification of rural economy, provided they meet eligibility and selection criteria, and for which the total value of project varies between PLN 4 500 and 100 000.

 

Scope of small projects:

 

1) increasing awareness of local communities, including through organization of trainings and other activities of educational and workshop nature for entities from an area covered by LDS, other than implemented under the measure referred to in Article 5(1)(1) of the Act of 7 March 2007 on support for rural areas with contribution from EAFRD;

 

2) improvement of the quality of life of local communities in the area covered by LDS, including:

a) provision of computer equipment and devices, including equipment and devices facilitating Internet access,

b) organization of cultural, recreational and sports events;

 

3) development of activity of local communities, including through:

a) promotion of local culture with the use of local heritage: cultural, historical or natural,

b) cultivation of local traditions, rituals and customs,

c) cultivation of regional languages and dialects,

d) cultivation of traditional professions and craft;

4) development of tourism and recreation in the area covered by LDS, including through: setting up or modernisation of tourist information databases and websites, designing and publishing leaflets and other information publications on the area covered by LDS, construction, renovation or signposting of small tourist infrastructure, in particular vantage points, camp and rest sites, cross-country or downhill skiing routes, waterways and bicycle paths, horse riding tracks, educational or recreation walks;

 

5) preservation, reconstruction, protection or signposting of valuable local landscape and natural heritage, in particular in areas covered by specific forms of nature protection, including Natura 2000 areas ;

 

6) preservation of local cultural and historical heritage, including through: reconstruction or renovation of buildings or small architecture entered into the registry of historic monuments or included in voivodship records of historic monuments, renovation of roofs or facades of buildings entered into the registry of historic monuments or included in voivodship records of historic monuments, reconstruction or equipping of museums, reconstruction or equipping of local clubroomsł

 

7) initiation of creation, development, processing, placing on the market, and services based on local resources, traditional sectors of economy or local heritage, including cultural, historic and natural, or improvement of the quality of such products;

 

8) use of energy from renewable sources in order to improve the conditions for carrying out cultural or economic activities, except for agricultural activities.

 

Definition of Beneficiary

 

1) natural person, who are:

a) citizens of EU Member States,

b) adult,

c) resident in the area covered by LDS or carry out economic activities in this area;

 

2) legal person or organization units, which do not have the status of legal person, but to which legislation grants the legal capacity:

 

a) acting pursuant to the provision on relations of the State which the Catholic Church in the Republic of Poland, on relations to the State with the other churches and religious associations and provisions on guarantees of freedom of conscience and religion, with their seats in the area covered by LDS or carrying their activities in the area covered by LDS, or

 

b) established pursuant to provision of legislation, including foundations and associations, with their seats in the area covered by LDS or carrying their activities in the area.

 

Form and amount of aid

 

The aid takes the form of reimbursement of part of eligible costs of operations. The amount of aid granted for implementation of an operation shall not exceed PLN 25 000.

 

Level of support

 

The level of financial support cannot exceed 70% of eligible costs of an operation.
