Diversification into Non-agricultural Activities Measure implementation will contribute to the sustainable economic and social rural development by providing support for farmers, household members and farmers’ spouses starting or developing non-agricultural activity related to production or services.
Diversification of agricultural activity towards starting or developing non-agricultural activity by farmers, their spouses and other household members, which will contribute to creation of non-agricultural income sources and promotion of employment outside agriculture in rural areas.
Scope of the measure
Aid is granted for starting or developing activities related to: 1) services for agricultural holdings or forestry; 2) public services; 3) wholesale and retail; 4) craft and handicraft; 5) construction and installation works and services; 6) services for tourists and sports and leisure services; 7) transport services; 8) public utility services; 9) processing of agricultural products and edible forest products; 10) warehousing and storage of products; 11) production of energy products from biomass; 12) accounting, consulting or IT services.
Aid may be granted, if:
1) operation is justified form the economic point of view; 2) operation meets requirements resulting from the legislation in force referring to a given project; 3) activity, to which the operation is related is registered in a locality situated within: • a rural community, or • an urban-rural community, except for towns with population exceeding 20 thousand inhabitants, or • an urban community, except for towns with population exceeding 5 thousand inhabitants 4) investment related to construction, repair, equipping and rendering useful real estate covered with the operation pertain to real estate located in localities referred to in Point 3; 5) the project provides the possibility of employment as part of non- agricultural activity started or developed 6) agricultural holding where the beneficiary works was covered by direct payments in the year preceding the application year. Definition of Beneficiary Natural person, household member in an agricultural holding, insured pursuant to the Act of 20 December 1990 on social insurance of farmers, as a farmer, or a household member or spouse of such a farmer. Form and amount of aid The aid has the form of reimbursement of the part of eligible costs of the project. Maximum amount of aid granted to a single beneficiary in an agricultural holding within the period of implementation of the Programme cannot exceed PLN 100 thousand. Level of aid The maximum aid level does not exceed 50% of eligible operation costs. |
